Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (2009) is an animated comedy you can watch online on iFILM. The town of Swallow Falls survives on nothing but sardines until local inventor Flint Lockwood builds a machine that turns water into food. Soon cheeseburgers fall from the sky.

At first it's a dream. Residents order whatever they crave, and Flint finally feels like he matters. Bill Hader voices the well-meaning inventor; Anna Faris plays Sam Sparks, a weather reporter who'd rather be taken seriously than be cute. Then the portions keep growing, the forecast turns deadly, and a spaghetti tornado bears down on the town the machine was meant to save.

This was the feature debut of Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the duo behind The Lego Movie and Into the Spider-Verse. It's loosely based on the 1978 children's book by Judi and Ron Barrett, with James Caan, Andy Samberg and Neil Patrick Harris filling out the voice cast.
