Singles (1992) is a romantic comedy-drama written and directed by Cameron Crowe — watch it online on iFILM. Set in early-nineties Seattle at the height of the grunge scene, the film follows a cluster of twenty-somethings sharing an apartment building. They want love. They're also terrified of it, bad at it, and occasionally very funny about it.

Bridget Fonda and Matt Dillon are the central odd couple: she's practical, he's a rock musician convinced his band is one break away from stardom. Campbell Scott and Kyra Sedgwick play a quieter, more tentative pair trying to figure out if caring about someone means giving yourself away. Bill Pullman, a young Jeremy Piven, and an early Paul Giamatti all turn up in the margins. The soundtrack is a document of the moment — Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and Mudhoney recorded live for the film.
