Synopsis
Drifting Home (2022) is a Japanese animated fantasy from studio Colorido, directed by Hiroyasu Ishida — watch it online on iFILM. Running 120 minutes, the film follows a group of sixth-graders who sneak into a condemned apartment building one last time before it comes down — and wake up to find the entire structure drifting across a limitless ocean.
No land in sight. Supplies running low. Two childhood friends, Kōjiro and Natsume, haven't spoken properly in months — and now they're trapped together with four other kids and no adults. A mysterious boy appears inside the building, one who seems to know it far better than any stranger should. The voice cast includes Mutsumi Tamura, Ayumu Murase, and Kana Hanazawa.
