Damage

Damage (1992) is a British-French drama directed by Louis Malle — watch it online on iFILM. What follows is not a romance. It is a precise account of a man dismantling his own life — his marriage, his career, his relationship with his son — in pursuit of something he cannot name. Miranda Richardson as Flemings's wife Ingrid and Rupert Graves as Martyn bear the weight of consequences he refuses to consider. The screenplay, adapted from Josephine Hart's novel, keeps the obsession clinical rather than operatic.
