Synopsis
Triple Cross (1966) is a Franco-British war adventure you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Terence Young — the same man behind the early Bond films. Christopher Plummer plays Eddie Chapman, a real-life safecracker who turned a Nazi prison into the starting point of one of WWII's strangest espionage careers. Romy Schneider, Trevor Howard, and Yul Brynner fill out a cast that feels almost absurdly well-stocked for a spy picture of this era.
Chapman is locked up on the German-occupied island of Jersey when he talks his way into Nazi service as a spy. The plan: go to England, report back. The reality: he walks straight to British intelligence and offers himself as a double agent. His loyalty is to himself — and that makes him genuinely unpredictable in every scene.
Young brings the same cool, unhurried confidence he gave to early 007 pictures, and Plummer plays Chapman as a man who treats danger the way most people treat boredom. Stream Triple Cross (1966) online on iFILM.
