About

Synopsis

Annapolis (2006) is Justin Lin's boxing drama, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Jake Huard, a kid from a family of shipyard welders, claws his way into an elite naval academy. Then he learns the real trial is just starting.

Jake (James Franco) struggles in the classroom, and from day one drill sergeant Cole (Tyrese Gibson) singles him out for punishment, pushing to see if he'll crack. Quit or stay? Jake finds one way to earn respect: enter the academy's brigade boxing tournament, where rank counts for nothing, and face his tormentor in the ring. Officer Ali (Jordana Brewster) and senior officer McNally (Chi McBride) stand alongside him.

This is early Justin Lin, who would soon take over the Fast & Furious franchise. The fights are shot hard and unglamorous, and the story runs on the classic underdog-versus-system setup. A hundred and three minutes of sweat and stubbornness. Stream Annapolis (2006) online on iFILM.
