In a near future where the economy has collapsed and prisons are run for profit, Terminal Island is the worst of them. Inmates fight each other on live television to boost ratings. Getaway driver Carl Lucas lands there after a heist goes wrong. At first the convicts brawl bare-knuckle in a show called Death Match. Then a ruthless producer launches something bigger: armored cars, real guns, one rule — drive or die. With a bounty on his head, Lucas has only one way out, and it runs through the track.
