The Legend of Ochi

The Legend of Ochi (2025) is a family adventure fantasy you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Isaiah Saxon, the film is set on a mist-covered mountainous island where a girl named Yuri has grown up believing the forest creatures called ochi are dangerous — because her father told her so.

Then she finds a baby ochi alone in the undergrowth, injured and left behind. Yuri can't square what she was taught with what she sees. She hides the animal and sets off across the island to return him to his kind, with her father (Willem Dafoe) and the village closing in behind her. Helena Zengel carries the film almost wordlessly; Emily Watson and Finn Wolfhard fill out the edges of a world that feels lived-in and strange at the same time.
