Adam

Adam is a 29-year-old New Yorker with Asperger's syndrome. He keeps to strict routines, talks to his ceiling-mounted speakers about distant star systems, and processes other people mostly as puzzles with missing pieces. When Beth moves into the apartment above him, he tries to connect the only way he knows how: directly, honestly, with no sense of social filtering at all. She's dealing with her own family trouble and wasn't looking for this particular complication. Neither of them quite knows what to do next.
