Synopsis
The Fox and the Hound (1981) is a Disney animated film you can watch online on iFILM. A gentle, bittersweet story about a friendship that the world won't let last.
A little orphaned fox named Tod is taken in by a kind widow on a farm, while next door a hound puppy named Copper is growing up to hunt. The two play in the woods all summer and swear they'll be friends forever. Then summer ends. Copper is trained as a hunting dog, and the day comes when he's set loose on a scent that leads straight to his best friend. One was born to chase, the other to run, and a childhood promise gets caught in the middle.
Directed by Ted Berman, Richard Rich and Art Stevens from Daniel Mannix's novel, the film features the voices of Mickey Rooney, Kurt Russell, Pearl Bailey and Jack Albertson.
