The Practice (Seasons 1–8)

The Practice (1997–2005) is a legal drama from ABC you can watch online on iFILM. Creator David E. Kelley ran the show for eight seasons and 168 episodes, centering it on a scrappy Boston law firm where the cases are messy, the clients are sometimes guilty, and the lawyers have to live with what they argue in court.

Bobby Donnell's team takes on cases the big firms pass over. Eugene Young (Steve Harris) handles the courtroom with cold precision; Ellenor Frutt (Camryn Manheim) fights loudest for clients nobody else wants; Jimmy Berluti (Michael Badalucco) bumbles and then surprises. When James Spader joined as Alan Shore in the later seasons, the show tilted toward something darker — his character eventually spun off into Boston Legal.
