Synopsis
Carry On Doctor (1967) is a British comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Gerald Thomas as part of the long-running Carry On series — by this point the seventeenth entry, and the formula still had plenty of steam.
The film runs two stories at once inside an increasingly chaotic hospital. Pompous self-help lecturer Francis Bigger (Frankie Howerd) slips off his own stage and ends up as a patient under the mild-mannered Dr Tinkle (Kenneth Williams). Meanwhile, popular junior doctor Kilmore (Jim Dale) has been spotted on the roof of the nurses' home in suspicious circumstances, and the formidable Matron (Hattie Jacques) wants him gone. The patients have other ideas.
The full Carry On company is assembled here — Sid James, Charles Hawtrey, Barbara Windsor, Joan Sims — trading slapstick and innuendo at the usual relentless pace.
