Dreamscape

Dreamscape (1984) is a sci-fi thriller directed by Joseph Ruben — watch it online on iFILM. Dennis Quaid plays Alex Gardner, a young man with a rare psychic ability to enter other people's dreams while they sleep.

Dr. Paul Novotny, played by Max von Sydow, recruits Alex into an experimental government program. Each session plunges him into a different patient's subconscious — nightmares made flesh. When Christopher Plummer's character hijacks the project for his own shadowy agenda, Alex discovers his gift has become a weapon pointed at the most powerful target imaginable.
