About

Synopsis

Honkytonk Man (1982) — watch online on iFILM, a drama that Clint Eastwood directed, co-wrote, and starred in. He plays Red Stovall, a drifting country singer dying of tuberculosis who sets out from Depression-era Oklahoma with one goal: an audition at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville before his lungs give out.

Red brings along his teenage nephew Whit, played by Clint's real son Kyle Eastwood, who wants off the family farm and into something bigger. The road trip is rough, funny, and quietly sad. Whit grows up fast traveling with a man who knows exactly how this ends. Red keeps driving anyway.

At 123 minutes, the film sits far outside Eastwood's gunfighter reputation — no shootouts, just a voice, a guitar, and a long highway. A road movie and a music drama at once, set against the backdrop of rural America in the early 1930s. Watch Honkytonk Man (1982) online on iFILM.
