Innerspace

Innerspace (1987) is a sci-fi comedy directed by Joe Dante — watch online on iFILM. Test pilot Tuck Pendleton (Dennis Quaid) volunteers for a miniaturization experiment that goes sideways fast: instead of being injected into a rabbit, his tiny capsule ends up inside Jack Putter (Martin Short), a neurotic supermarket clerk who has no idea what's happening to him.

Tuck can hear and see through Jack's senses. Jack hears a voice in his head and assumes the worst. Meanwhile, the tech-thieves who sabotaged the experiment are hunting the extraction syringe, Tuck's oxygen is running low, and the one person who can sort this out is Tuck's ex-girlfriend, journalist Lydia Maxwell (Meg Ryan). The chemistry between Quaid and Short drives every scene — Quaid plays the cool flyboy, Short plays five kinds of panic simultaneously.
