Synopsis
I Shot Andy Warhol (1996) is a biographical drama you can watch online on iFILM. Director Mary Harron's US/UK production tells the real story of Valerie Solanas — writer of the radical SCUM Manifesto — played with raw intensity by Lili Taylor.
Solanas arrives in late-1960s New York broke and furious, carrying a play she wants Andy Warhol (Jared Harris) to produce. He takes the manuscript, loses it, and keeps orbiting his own reflection at the Factory. Her rage sharpens into obsession, and on 3 June 1968 she walks in and shoots him. The film doesn't treat the act as a twist — it treats it as an outcome.
What makes Harron's telling so unsettling is how clearly it shows the machinery that ground Solanas down long before the gun came out. Jill Hennessy and Martha Plimpton round out a sharp supporting cast. Stream I Shot Andy Warhol (1996) online on iFILM.
