The Man from Elysian Fields

The Man from Elysian Fields (2001) is an American drama directed by George Hickenlooper — watch it online on iFILM. Andy Garcia plays Byron, a novelist whose first book has stalled completely: no sales, no second contract, bills arriving faster than ideas. His wife Dana, played by Julianna Margulies, is quietly holding things together while he figures out what to do next.

What he does is accept a proposition from Luther — a smooth operator who runs an escort agency serving wealthy women, played by Mick Jagger in a role that fits him surprisingly well. Byron tells himself it's just companionship: opera seats and tennis courts. His first client is Andrea, wife of an aging literary giant Byron has long admired. Anjelica Huston and James Coburn round out the cast.
