Synopsis
Logan Lucky (2017) is Steven Soderbergh's heist comedy, free to watch online on iFILM. Two hard-luck brothers from West Virginia plan to rob a speedway in the middle of its biggest race of the year.
Laid off from his construction job, Jimmy Logan (Channing Tatum) decides the family curse stops with him. With his one-armed bartender brother Clyde (Adam Driver) and their sharp sister Mellie, he targets the cash that runs underground beneath Charlotte Motor Speedway during the Coca-Cola 600. The job needs a vault man, so they recruit jailed explosives expert Joe Bang — a bleach-blond Daniel Craig having a blast far from Bond. First they have to break him out, and that is where the scheme starts to wobble.
The cast fills out with Riley Keough, Katie Holmes, Seth MacFarlane, Sebastian Stan and Hilary Swank. Soderbergh runs the caper Southern-style: slow drawl, dry jokes and none of the Ocean's Eleven gloss. Stream Logan Lucky (2017) online on iFILM.
