Synopsis
A Whisker Away (2020) is a Japanese animated fantasy film you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Tomotaka Shibayama and Junichi Sato and produced for Netflix Japan, it carries the original title Nakitai Watashi wa Neko wo Kaburu — roughly, "I Want to Eat Your Pancreas," no, closer to "a girl wearing a cat mask to hide her tears."
Miyo is a high school girl completely fixated on her classmate Kento, who barely knows she exists. Then she finds a mask at a mysterious market: wear it and she becomes a real cat — one that Kento gladly pets and feeds, with no idea who she actually is. Miyo starts spending more and more time in her cat form. The line between her two selves starts to dissolve, and the way back might close before she notices it's gone. Voice cast stars Mirai Shida and Natsuki Hanae.
