Synopsis
The Princess and the Frog (2009) is the hand-drawn Disney musical you can watch online on iFILM. The film moves a familiar fairy tale into the jazz age of New Orleans, where hard-working waitress Tiana dreams of opening her own restaurant.
One kiss changes everything. Cursed Prince Naveen asks Tiana to break his spell — but instead of a happy ending, she turns into a frog herself. To become human again, the pair flee through the Louisiana bayou, chased by the voodoo magic of a smooth-talking villain known as Dr. Facilier. Along the way they pick up Louis, a trumpet-playing alligator, and Ray, a lovestruck firefly, while a 100-year-old healer called Mama Odie offers a way out. Anika Noni Rose voices Tiana.
Directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, the team behind The Little Mermaid and Aladdin, the movie introduced Disney's first African American princess and stood as the studio's last big traditionally animated feature before the 3D era. Randy Newman wrote the jazz and blues score. Stream The Princess and the Frog (2009) online on iFILM.
