Synopsis

Living Out Loud (1998) is an American drama-comedy directed by Richard LaGravenese — watch online on iFILM, starring Holly Hunter, Danny DeVito and Queen Latifah.

Judith spent fifteen years being a doctor's perfect wife. Then she found out he'd been gone for some time already — just hadn't bothered to announce it. Now she's alone in a Manhattan apartment that no longer feels like hers, slowly figuring out what she actually wants. Pat, the elevator operator in her building, carries his own load of disappointment. A late-night jazz club, a stranger's kiss, and Liz Bailey — the singer with the blunt life advice — start nudging Judith toward something she hasn't tried in years: her own opinions.

LaGravenese wrote the script alongside his directorial debut and gives Hunter room to play confusion, anger and small joy without leaning into any one of them too hard. It's a quieter film than the cast suggests, and better for it. Stream Living Out Loud (1998) online on iFILM.
