Synopsis
Moonfall (2022) is Roland Emmerich's sci-fi disaster movie, and you can watch it online on iFILM. The Moon has slipped off its orbit and is falling straight toward Earth. The clock is measured in weeks.
Three people see it coming, and nobody listens. Ex-astronaut Brian Harper (Patrick Wilson) spotted a strange swarm in space a decade ago, only to be written off by NASA. Deputy director Jo Fowler (Halle Berry) is the first to catch the data going wrong. And a self-taught conspiracy theorist working out of his garage (John Bradley) insists the Moon was never a rock at all, but a hollow megastructure. With governments stalling, the trio patches together a shuttle and flies toward whatever is hiding inside. Michael Pena, Charlie Plummer and Donald Sutherland round out the cast.
Emmerich, the man behind Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow, once again drops tidal waves and gravity storms on the world's skylines, this time bending the whole thing toward space opera. The film never pretends to be a physics lecture. It runs on scale, noise and last-second rescues. Stream Moonfall (2022) online on iFILM.
