Bel-Air (2022) — watch online on iFILM — is a dramatic reimagining of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, produced by Will Smith for Peacock. The comedy has been replaced by something heavier: class friction, identity, and the cost of belonging somewhere you were never supposed to be. Newcomer Jabari Banks plays Will, a street-smart Philadelphia teenager who gets into the wrong confrontation and ends up shipped across the country to his uncle's mansion in one of LA's most expensive zip codes.

Adrian Holmes plays Uncle Phil as a disciplined, politically connected attorney, not the lovable blowhard of the original. The Banks household has its own fault lines — Aunt Viv, the cousins, the housekeeper — and Will's arrival pries them open. The show doesn't milk nostalgia for easy laughs. It treats the premise seriously, and the cast earns it.
