Bel Powley leads the cast alongside Lisa Loven Kongsli and Martin Wallström. Director Marius Markevicius adapted the novel by Ruta Sepetys, whose book has been taught in schools across multiple countries precisely because the deportation of Baltic nations remains little known outside the region.
