A Room with a View

A Room with a View (1986) is James Ivory's period romance and drama you can watch online on iFILM. Adapted from E. M. Forster's novel, it follows a sheltered young Englishwoman whose feelings come alive in Florence, against every rule of Edwardian propriety.

It's 1907. Lucy Honeychurch is touring Italy with her prim cousin Charlotte when they're handed rooms without a view of the Arno. An odd Mr Emerson and his son George offer to swap. One reckless kiss in a Tuscan field upends everything. Back in buttoned-up England, Lucy agrees to marry the smug, bookish Cecil while her heart is plainly elsewhere. Helena Bonham Carter plays Lucy, with Julian Sands as George.
