Synopsis
Love Story (1970) is Arthur Hiller's classic romance you can watch online on iFILM. Oliver Barrett IV, heir to old Boston money and a Harvard man, falls for Jennifer Cavilleri, a sharp-tongued baker's daughter studying music at Radcliffe. Her family has no fortune. It has plenty of pride.
They marry anyway, and Oliver's father cuts him off rather than accept a bride from the wrong side of town. Money is tight while he claws through law school and she teaches; they count every dollar and stay stubbornly happy. Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal play the couple whose name became shorthand for doomed young love, with Ray Milland and a very young Tommy Lee Jones in support. Then grief arrives, and it is better discovered than spoiled.
