Synopsis
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009) — watch online on iFILM this Warner Bros. fantasy epic directed by David Yates, the sixth chapter of J.K. Rowling's saga. At 147 minutes, the film marks the point where the series fully commits to darkness: Voldemort is no longer a rumour.
Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) recruits Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) for a private mission: coax a buried memory out of newly returned Potions professor Horace Slughorn (Jim Broadbent). That memory is the key to understanding Voldemort's path to immortality. While Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) navigate messy teenage feelings, Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) moves through the castle with a purpose no one can pin down. Alan Rickman's Snape watches everything — and says nothing.
Filmed largely in Britain, the film was shot by cinematographer Bruno Delbonnel, whose cool steel-blue palette earned an Oscar nomination and set a new visual register for the franchise. Stream Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009) in full on iFILM.
