About

Synopsis

The Skeleton Twins (2014) is a drama by Craig Johnson you can watch online on iFILM. A brother and sister haven't spoken in ten years. Then, on the same day, both come close to ending their own lives.

Maggie and Milo are twins pulled apart not by a fight but by years of silence. Two near-simultaneous suicide attempts throw them back together, and Maggie brings Milo home to the small town where they grew up. Milo, a failed actor drifting back from Los Angeles, quietly reaches out to a former high-school teacher. Maggie looks settled in her marriage to the cheerful Lance, yet she's hiding far more than she lets on. Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig, both Saturday Night Live alumni, drop the comic armor and let the wounds show.

Johnson pulls off something rare: a film about depression and family damage that's also genuinely funny. The scene where the siblings goof off to a cheesy pop song has become a fan favorite. It won the screenwriting prize at Sundance and runs entirely on the chemistry between its two leads. Stream The Skeleton Twins (2014) online on iFILM.
