About

Synopsis

Live and Let Die (1973) is the James Bond action-adventure you can watch online on iFILM. It's the eighth entry in the franchise and the first to star Roger Moore as agent 007, directed by Guy Hamilton.

British agents keep turning up dead in New York, New Orleans and on a small Caribbean island. Bond is sent to pull the thread, and it leads straight to Dr. Kananga, a dictator who runs a heroin empire under the alias Mr. Big. Helping him is Solitaire, a tarot reader whose cards foretell the future only while she stays untouched. Jane Seymour plays her; Yaphet Kotto runs the operation, and Geoffrey Holder turns up as the unkillable Baron Samedi.

The film steered the series somewhere new: no gadget-laden space plots, just speedboat chases through Louisiana bayous, voodoo, and early-seventies blaxploitation swagger. Paul and Linda McCartney wrote the title song with Wings, and it earned an Oscar nomination. Stream Live and Let Die (1973) online on iFILM.
