The World Is Not Enough

When an oil tycoon is murdered inside MI6 headquarters, Bond is assigned to guard the man's daughter, oil heiress Elektra King, played by Sophie Marceau. As Bond digs into a fight over a pipeline that could decide the fate of an entire region, the line between victim and mastermind keeps shifting under his feet.

Directed by Michael Apted, the film casts Robert Carlyle as Renard, Denise Richards as a nuclear physicist, and Judi Dench again as M. It also marks the final appearance of Desmond Llewelyn as Q, the gadget master of the franchise for almost forty years.
