Synopsis

Creepshow 2 (1987) is a horror-comedy anthology you can watch online on iFILM. Three tales drawn from Stephen King's stories, stitched together with animated panels: a boy flips through his favorite comic and the scares crawl off the page.

First, a wooden Native American statue outside a tobacco shop comes alive to avenge the couple who owned him. Then four teenagers swim out into a lake and meet a black oily blob that swallows whatever it touches. In the last segment, a woman hits a hitchhiker with her car and tries to drive off, but the dead man keeps coming back, repeating the same line: "Thanks for the ride, lady."

George Romero wrote the screenplay; his longtime cinematographer Michael Gornick stepped up to direct. King himself turns up in a cameo as a truck driver, alongside George Kennedy and Lois Chiles. Pure cheap, mean, gleeful 1980s comic-book horror. Stream Creepshow 2 (1987) online on iFILM.
