Synopsis

Reynolds Woodcock (Daniel Day-Lewis) dresses heiresses, film stars and royalty. His mornings must be silent, his routine untouched, and his sister Cyril (Lesley Manville) keeps the atelier in line. Then comes Alma (Vicky Krieps). She begins as muse and model. But Alma refuses to be set aside like a finished gown, and slowly she bends the designer's rigid world toward something he never planned for. What starts as romance turns into a quiet contest of wills.
Day-Lewis announced this as the final role of his career. Anderson shot the film himself, and Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead wrote the score.
