Synopsis
The Object of My Affection (1998) is an American romantic drama directed by Nicholas Hytner — watch it online on iFILM. Nina is a Brooklyn social worker who discovers she's pregnant. Her boyfriend is a problem. Her gay roommate George, on the other hand, is everything she's ever wanted in a partner: caring, funny, present. So she asks him to raise the baby with her.
George says yes. Something resembling a perfect little family begins to take shape — school visits, shared dinners, an easy rhythm of domestic life. Then Nina's feelings tip past friendship, and suddenly the arrangement she thought was simple becomes the most complicated thing in either of their lives. Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd lead the cast with real chemistry; Alan Alda and Allison Janney round out the ensemble.
