Synopsis

His wife wants a divorce so she can marry a smug family friend. Larry goes looking for meaning from three rabbis, but no one can tell him what he did to deserve any of it. Michael Stuhlbarg plays a man who only ever tried to do the right thing.
Joel and Ethan Coen made their most personal film here, drawing on their own Minnesota childhood and framing it with a Yiddish folk tale.
