Synopsis
The Thicket (2024) is a Western thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Director Elliott Lester adapts Joe R. Lansdale's 2013 novel for a 108-minute ride through outlaw Texas. Peter Dinklage, Juliette Lewis and Levon Hawke lead the cast, with James Hetfield of Metallica turning up in a supporting role.
After the violent outlaw Cut Throat Bill kidnaps his sister Lula, young Jack has no good options. No money, no army, no law willing to ride into the Big Thicket. What he does find is Reginald Jones — a bounty hunter played by Dinklage with dry menace — plus a grave-digging alcoholic and a sharp-tongued woman of the street. The four of them track Bill into a stretch of deep East Texas wilderness where the rules of civilisation simply do not apply.
