Underwater

Underwater (2020) is a sci-fi horror from director William Eubank you can watch online on iFILM. Seven miles down at the bottom of the Mariana Trench, a deep-sea drilling rig starts coming apart after a violent quake.

Mechanical engineer Norah (Kristen Stewart) wakes in the wreckage and realizes no rescue is coming from above. The only way out is forward: a small group of survivors must walk across the ocean floor to a neighboring platform, sealed in pressure suits, half-blind in the crushing dark. With her are Captain Lucas (Vincent Cassel), the jittery wisecracker Paul (T.J. Miller) and technician Emily (Jessica Henwick). It soon turns out the earthquake stirred more than water. Something is down there, and it hunts.

Eubank skips the polished blockbuster and goes for raw claustrophobia: static crackling in the helmet, groaning steel, a headlamp catching barely a foot ahead.
