Beyond Skyline

Beyond Skyline (2017) is Liam O'Donnell's sci-fi action movie you can watch online on iFILM. Detective Mark Corley's day starts with bailing his son Trent out of a holding cell and ends with an invasion: alien ships vacuum people off the streets, out of the subway, and straight through skyscraper windows.

Trent is taken along with thousands of others, so Mark forces his way aboard one of the ships to get him back. Inside he runs into survivors from the first film and sets out to wreck the vessel from within. It crashes over Shanghai, where a band of Chinese resistance fighters pulls the survivors out, and the fight to retake the planet turns into a ground war. Frank Grillo plays Corley, backed by Indonesian action stars Iko Uwais and Yayan Ruhian, whose hand-to-hand fights give the film its real punch. A bigger, brawnier follow-up to Skyline.
