Synopsis
Uptown Girls (2003) is a comedy drama you can watch online on iFILM. Molly Gunn burns through the fortune left by her late rock-star father until one morning she learns her accountant has stolen every penny. The money is gone, and she has never held a job in her life.
To stay afloat, Molly (Brittany Murphy) takes work as a nanny to nine-year-old Ray (Dakota Fanning), the daughter of a perpetually busy music executive. The trouble is that Ray acts like a tightly wound forty-year-old: scheduled to the minute, terrified of germs, allergic to fun. The scattered babysitter and the over-serious child grate on each other at first, then slowly trade places. Director Boaz Yakin shapes a story about two girls who each have to learn how to act their age, pulling in opposite directions.
