Howard runs a thriving New York ad agency until a private tragedy pulls the floor out from under him. He stops working, stops talking, sets up dominoes alone for hours. His three business partners (Edward Norton, Kate Winslet and Michael Peña) fear losing both their friend and the firm. So they try something odd: they hire actors to embody the very abstractions Howard has been writing to. Helen Mirren, Keira Knightley and Jacob Latimore step into those roles.
