Synopsis
The King's Man (2021) is Matthew Vaughn's action-adventure you can watch online on iFILM. This prequel goes back to the very beginning, showing how the secret Kingsman agency was born out of a world tearing itself apart.
The year is 1914 and Europe is sliding toward the Great War. The Duke of Oxford, played by Ralph Fiennes, lost his wife and now shields his only son Conrad from every danger. The boy wants nothing more than to fight for his country. After they witness the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo, the Duke realizes a hidden cabal is steering nations into slaughter. He builds his own intelligence network from loyal servants to stop the carnage from the shadows.
Vaughn trades the glossy swagger of the earlier films for a darker wartime story stitched with real historical figures. One standout: a brutal showdown with a deranged Rasputin, played by Rhys Ifans.
