To Live and Die in L.A. (1985) is William Friedkin's hard-edged crime thriller, and you can watch online on iFILM. Secret Service agent Richard Chance loses his partner days before retirement and sets out to take down the killer no matter what it costs him.

Chance (William Petersen) hunts Eric Masters (Willem Dafoe), an ice-cold counterfeiter who prints flawless bills and kills anyone who gets close. To reach him, Chance and his new partner John (John Pankow) cross every line they once swore to hold: entrapment, robbery, deals made in the dark. Friedkin lets the wall between cop and criminal almost disappear.

The director of The French Connection delivered one of the toughest action films of the 1980s, with a wrong-way freeway chase still cited as a benchmark and a pulsing synth score by British band Wang Chung.
