The Outlaw Josey Wales

The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976) is Clint Eastwood's western, and you can watch it online on iFILM. After Union raiders slaughter his family, a Missouri farmer picks up a gun and stops forgiving anyone.

Josey refuses to surrender with the rest of the Confederate guerrillas, which marks him for a whole squad of soldiers in pursuit. He means to ride alone, but the lost and the unwanted keep attaching themselves to him: an aging Cherokee named Lone Watie, a young woman from the plains, a wagon of settlers. Eastwood plays a near-silent avenger who, against his own wishes, ends up with a family again. Chief Dan George brings dry humor to the trail while Sondra Locke brings warmth.
