Young Wallander (2020) is a Netflix crime drama series you can watch online on iFILM. The show is an origin story for Kurt Wallander — the brooding detective from Henning Mankell's bestselling novels — played here by Adam Pålsson as a rookie cop just out of the academy.

A brutal hate crime in his own neighbourhood forces the inexperienced Wallander into a high-stakes investigation before he's remotely ready for it. With mentor detective Rask (Richard Dillane) and partner Frida Hansen (Ellise Chappell) by his side, he has to learn the job under pressure. The tagline says it straight: every case leaves its mark.

The production transplants Wallander from his native Sweden into a deliberately unnamed European city, making the backdrop feel contemporary and pan-European.
