Synopsis

Peter Pan (2003) is a family fantasy adventure from director P.J. Hogan that you can watch online on iFILM. In buttoned-up Edwardian London, eldest Darling child Wendy keeps her brothers spellbound with nightly stories of sword fights and the dreaded Captain Hook. Then a boy who refuses to grow up flies in through the nursery window.

Peter sweeps Wendy, John and Michael over the rooftops to Neverland, a place where clocks hold no power. Waiting there are pirates, mermaids, the Lost Boys and a fiercely jealous fairy named Tinker Bell. Heading the pirate crew is Hook, played by Jason Isaacs, who also takes the role of Mr. Darling in a nod to the old stage tradition of doubling the parts. Jeremy Sumpter, Rachel Hurd-Wood and Ludivine Sagnier as Tinker Bell carry the whole moonlit adventure.

This was the first major screen version of J.M. Barrie's play to cast a real boy as Peter, rather than the grown actress the theatre had used for decades. Beneath the flying and the swashbuckling sits the bittersweet heart of the original: the quiet dread of having to grow up. Stream Peter Pan (2003) online on iFILM.
