Synopsis
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019) is the Disney family fantasy you can watch online on iFILM. A few years after the dark fairy lifted Aurora's curse, the godmother faces a far harder trial than any spell — a wedding.
Aurora (Elle Fanning) says yes to Prince Phillip, and the two families sit down to dinner. Across the table from Maleficent (Angelina Jolie) is her future in-law, Queen Ingrith, played by Michelle Pfeiffer, whose warm smile hides a plan to wipe the fae off the map. The quarrel shatters a fragile peace. Wounded and betrayed, Maleficent learns she is not the last of the winged ones: a whole clan of her kind has been hiding from humans across the sea.
Director Joachim Rønning turns the fairy tale into a war drama about two mothers pulling one daughter in opposite directions. The cast also includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sam Riley and Harris Dickinson, and the film's costume and makeup work earned an Academy Award nomination.
