I Vitelloni

Summer turns to a cold, empty winter, the carnival ends, and nothing changes for anyone but the boys themselves.

Half autobiography, this early Fellini film captures idle youth and small-town restlessness years before his surreal masterpieces. It features a young Alberto Sordi and the director's brother, Riccardo Fellini. The picture won the Silver Lion at Venice and later shaped filmmakers from Scorsese to George Lucas.
