The Shining

The Shining (1980) is Stanley Kubrick's landmark horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Jack, meanwhile, stops writing. Kubrick adapted Stephen King's novel but pulled it somewhere colder than the source material — less about addiction and hauntedness, more about architecture and geometry doing something to a human mind. Shelley Duvall's performance as Wendy came out of one of the most gruelling shoots in Hollywood history; Kubrick reportedly did more than 100 takes of certain scenes.
