Lords of Dogtown

Lords of Dogtown (2005) is Catherine Hardwicke's drama you can watch online on iFILM. The story of three kids off the Venice Beach asphalt who rebuilt skateboarding out of nothing.

Mid-seventies California. Stacy Peralta, Tony Alva and Jay Adams chase waves by day, then, when the surf goes flat, drop their boards into the drained backyard pools of rich neighborhoods left empty by drought. Riding those concrete bowls, they invent a wild new way to skate. Fame lands fast, sponsors start pulling the boys apart one by one, and the friendship that sparked all of it begins to splinter. Emile Hirsch, Victor Rasuk, John Robinson and Heath Ledger, as their burned-out mentor Skip, lead the cast.
