Henry Golding plays Snake Eyes as a man driven by revenge who slowly learns what loyalty costs. Andrew Koji is Tommy, the future Storm Shadow who vouches for him, Haruka Abe's Akiko doesn't trust the outsider for a second, and Ursula Corbero shows up as the Baroness with an agenda of her own. Fight choreographer Kenji Tanigaki keeps the action close and physical, and the Japanese setting drives the plot rather than decorating it.
