Synopsis
Orange County (2002) — watch online this sharp American comedy directed by Jake Kasdan on iFILM. The film runs 82 minutes and follows a California surfer kid whose dream of Stanford unravels thanks to a single clerical mistake.
Shaun Brumder (Colin Hanks) finds a novel buried in the sand and decides he is meant to be a writer. He applies to Stanford to study under the book's author. Then his guidance counselor mixes up the files, and the rejection letter arrives. Shaun's plan to fix the mess involves his drug-addled brother Lance (Jack Black), who treats every situation as an opportunity for chaos, and a mother (Catherine O'Hara) whose idea of support is another glass of wine. John Lithgow plays the well-meaning stepfather who talks endlessly and accomplishes nothing.
Kasdan assembled a deep bench — Lily Tomlin, Chevy Chase, Harold Ramis — and shot a comedy that finds real warmth inside suburban dysfunction. The film doesn't moralize. It just watches Shaun figure out whether the dream was worth the wreckage. Stream Orange County (2002) full movie online on iFILM.
